Set on a sprawling 170-acre estate just outside Kilkenny city, Lyrath Estate blends historic elegance with contemporary functionality, making it one of Ireland’s premier venues for conferences, weddings, and corporate events. The purpose-built convention centre provides nearly 1,600 m² of flexible event space—including a grand plenary hall of 972 m² that accommodates up to 1,500 guests theatre-style or 850 for banquet-style dining. This space can be subdivided into three soundproof sections, each with natural daylight, blackout capability, and direct access to patio and pre-function areas.

Adjacent to the main hall are ten additional meeting rooms and breakout suites, ranging from compact boardrooms to mid-sized conference spaces that cater comfortably for groups of 20 to 165 delegates. Each room benefits from high ceilings, natural daylight, air-conditioning, and is equipped with built-in audiovisual systems, flipcharts, and strong wireless internet coverage.

For intimate gatherings, the elegant 17th-century Manor House portion of Lyrath offers cosy salons—including the Ash Room, Yellow Room, Red Room, Drawing Rooms, and Oak Room—ideal for VIP meetings, board dinners, or cocktail receptions. Outside, a dedicated BBQ pavilion and expansive gardens support casual networking, winter marquees, or themed events.
