Introduction

When the Alpha-1 Foundation planned its 2025 European conference in Lisbon, it turned once again to ConServ—having previously partnered successfully for its 2023 Dublin event. The expectation was clear: deliver the same flawless technical execution and high production standards, this time on an international stage. Held across two days in the InterContinental Lisbon's Coimbra A+B Suites, the event welcomed 250 global attendees to a meticulously orchestrated program of plenaries, panel discussions, and media content.

This was not just a standard AV delivery. CONSERV was tasked with coordinating cross-border logistics, integrating local crew and suppliers, and building an immersive environment tailored for scientific engagement and global collaboration. The result was a high-spec, multilingual, and visually unified experience for every attendee.

CONSERV's Scope oversaw project management, international travel, technical design, content integration, equipment coordination with local Portuguese suppliers, and on-site production management from prep through de-prep. Production Highlights

1. World-Class Visual Setup

  • LED Wall (10m x 3m | 3360x1008px) with Novastar VX16s processing and local staging provided an ultra-high-resolution display.

  • Pixelhue Event Control and auxiliary Streamdeck interface gave operators real-time flexibility across presentations and loops.

  • Confidence and Notes Monitors kept speakers aligned while the audience enjoyed crisp visuals from all positions.

  • Pre-function Area Branding included a printed canvas step & repeat wall and LED bar uplighting for press moments.

2. Broadcast-Ready Audio & Video

  • Midas M32 + DL32 Stage Box managed dozens of audio inputs with pristine digital clarity.

  • Sennheiser Wireless Microphones: 9 handheld, 3 headset, and 2 gooseneck podium units ensured flexibility across speaker types.

  • Sony 4K PTZ Cameras recorded the event with live switching and capture via Black magic Video Assist and Zoom H5.

3. Lighting & Atmosphere

  • PAR LEDs and Moving Heads brought depth and contrast to the speaker stage.

  • Truss Towers with Lycra Wraps offered a sleek architectural frame while concealing fixtures.

  • Avolites Titan Mobile Desk allowed the lighting technician to shape mood and visibility with precision.

4. International Logistics & Coordination

  • Crossview Partnership in Portugal supplied local AV infrastructure, logistics, and additional crew.

  • 11 Local Crew + 4 ConServ Technicians collaborated through rehearsals and execution under a unified schedule.

  • On-Site Translation Support for signage and schedules maintained clarity for a global audience.

5. Technical & Crew Management

  • Advance Recce and RAMS Documentation ensured safe, compliant operations on foreign ground.

  • Professional Appearance Standards and PPE were strictly enforced, with all crew in full black attire and steel-toe boots.

  • CS Cloud & Synology Chat were used for real-time collaboration, running order tracking, and asset sharing between Irish and Portuguese teams.
